This Is Why We Call Vancouver Home...

DUER Storefront in Gastown Vancouver, British Columbia

With growth comes change and at DUER we’re embracing that. The latest change? The expansion and improvement of our Vancouver home base.

Our newly renovated head office and flagship store is located in the heart of Gastown at 118 W. Hastings St, and it’s already garnering attention from the press and from customers.

Why? Because this is a space made for having fun and testing our products to their fullest. The energy in our space is palpable from the minute you walk in, from the brick walls that contrast against the wood of the indoor tree house, to the swing and monkey bars that we encourage our customers to play on.

One of the best things about working at DUER is coming in every day and seeing people having fun. Witnessing business men and women alike embrace their inner-kid and test ride our indoor bike or climb into our tree house...what’s better than that?!

The indoor treehouse at the DUER flagship storeIs it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope! It's our indoor treehouse! Come hang with us at 118 West Hastings Street in Vancouver

But building our dream space would not have been possible if we did not make the move to Gastown (from our first pop up in Railtown). Aside from having a space large enough to accommodate our vision, it was a natural fit for us to call Gastown home.

We’re big believers in work-life balance, and the neighbourhood allows us to step out and within minutes immerse ourselves in a new coffee shop, workout studio or lunch joint. We’ve embraced the community, and they’ve embraced us too.

Prado Cafe has become an extension of our office, and La Taqueria a favourite lunch spot. Feeling a nice patio and a beer? Try Chill Winston. You’ll likely find us soaking up the sun and doing some people watching. Need to sneak in a quick workout? Eastwood Cycle and Barre Fitness are just down the street. On nice days, pedal over to the seawall or along the prettiest local bike route on Adanac. After work, there’s nothing better than taking a walk down to the water and watching the sunset at Crab Park (or heading a little further towards Stanley Park).

So, what are you waiting for? Come down to Gastown, explore the neighbourhood, check out the performance denim playground and get in our pants. We hope to see you soon!
