Long term review
These are about 1yr old and still look just as good as the day I purchased them. Other than using a low-heat dry cycle, I treat them as any other jeans. This was my first pair of many more to come.

I only write reviews if I’m very impressed or very disappointed, and in the case of these jeans I’m very impressed. The quality of the fabric, and strong colors are super nice. I haven’t worn them outside yet, but I have a feeling people will be asking me where I got these from

My new favorite jeans!
Purchased my first DUER jeans at REI and wow am I impressed. The price is higher than I would normally consider but after reading the reviews I decided to try them out. These jeans are outstanding! Super comfortable and look great. They have become my new favorite pair. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome pair of jeans.

Best pants I've ever owned, even though they don't fit me!
When I first tried them on, they felt amazing, although I thought that they were a tiny bit loose. I made the mistake of assuming they'd shrink a bit in the wash (like most brand new denim tends to do), so I took the tags off immediately and washed them, and they definitely did not shrink at all. They do "tighten up" a bit every time they get washed and machine dried, but the stretch in the fabric makes them loosen right back up after I wear them for a couple of minutes. I've learned the hard way that if I leave the house without my belt, I'll be hitching up my pants every few steps. So, I've learned my lesson: if I'm between sizes on this brand, I need to get the smaller one, not the bigger one!
Anyway! Even though I do wish I'd been patient enough to mail back the 38 waist pair and exchange them for a 36 waist pair, and even though they literally will not stay on my body without a belt (and I hate wearing belts!), these are still the most comfortable pants I've ever owned - and the ONLY brand of jeans I've found so far that are actually comfortable to wear during Texas summers - so I came back to buy another pair, this time in the correct size.
It's pricey, but it's worth it to have pants that I don't hate wearing, and they'll probably last me for the rest of my life, so I consider it money well spent.
